Former AIC Chairman appointed 'City Minister' Paul Myners has been appointed as Financial Services Secretary and will be attending the newly established National Economic Council.
Euro MPs demand greater private equity and hedge fund regulation Two influential committees of the European Parliament have urged the Commission to take action to curb the activities of private equity and hedge funds.
ISA shelter should house AIM stocks The AIC has urged the Government to allow AIM-traded investment companies to be held in ISAs.
Revised IASB governance would enhance quality of accounting rules The AIC has called upon the IASB to apply modern regulatory principles and to improve company reporting by aligning international accounting standards more closely with investor needs.
AIC supports proposals to allow ITC investment in bonds The AIC has responded to Government proposals to allow investment trusts to invest tax-efficiently in bonds and hopes other stakeholders will also lend their support to the measures.
